Operatic soprano Natalie Morell currently studies at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with a minor in Music Industry. She also is a voice, flute and piano teacher at Musician’s Academy in Corpus Christi, TX. At Texas A&M at Corpus Christi, she is a member of the Opera Workshop where she performed a solo and choruses in American Stage: Opera and Musical Theatre (October 2024), Ghosts of Italian Opera (April 2024) and Pirates and Prisoners (October 2023), performed the role as the First Witch in Dido & Aeneas (April 2025), Druscilla in Carmenella (April 2023), and Oberta in Alcina (October 2022). She is also a member of Camarata (chamber choir). In the Summer of 2025, she participated in Music Across the Pond in Oxford, England. There she will perform in both Oxford and London, England. In the Summer of 2024, she participated in The New Voice Festival Emerging Artists Program in Boise, Idaho. There she performed in the opera gala concert and in the chorus as a warrior in the opera production of Dido and Aeneas & Aeterna. In the Summer of 2023, she participated in the Opera San Antonio/Classical Music Institute Collegiate Voice Program where she performed in the Opera Under the Stars concert at the Radius Center in San Antonio, Texas. In November of 2023, she sang in a masterclass of Lesia Mackowycz who teaches voice at Frankfurt Conservatory of Music and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt. She also sings in the church choir at Island Presbyterian Church.
Natalie currently studies voice with Dr. Jessica Spafford while previously with Dr. Susan Gouthro and secondary flute with Dr. Diana Sipes. She plans to pursue graduate studies and perform and teach professionally.
