Private lessons are where a student has one on one instruction with a teacher. The benefits are getting to work on specific skills that you want to focus on, enrich your craft and learn advanced skills.

I teach private voice and flute (beginner-advanced) and piano (beginner-intermediate) lessons to students from ages 5 to adults and are welcome to join. Policies: if you need to cancel your lesson, you must provide me with at least a 24-hour notice. Lessons cancelled less than 24-hour notice or with no show will not be refunded and rescheduled. If the teacher or student cancels a lesson at least 24-hour notice, a makeup lesson will be offered. If the makeup lesson cannot be scheduled during that month, the amount for the makeup lesson will be applied next month. With the lesson rates, you must pay the full rate of the month by your fifth day of the month. Payments made after the fifth day month will have to pay a late fee of $10.

For a student’s first lesson, trial lessons are free. Trial lessons are an opportunity for a student trying private lessons for the first time to get the feel of what they are like before committing.

Aside from private lessons, I encourage my students to participate in school choirs and bands, school musicals, and all the musical opportunities they can find.
